Who we are
Who we are
SCAN is a network of environmental community organisations and individuals in Swindon. We are also part of the wider Wiltshire Climate Alliance and affiliated to Friends of the Earth. We aim to engage people, politicians and organisations with the need to conserve our environment for future generations and address the causes of the climate and nature emergencies that are already starting to unfold.
For further information please see our Facebook page, email scan@swindonclimate.org or call Julian on 07809 122474. Email us if you would like to join our email list, for a newsletter and meeting notice once a month and occasional other emails on topical events etc.
What we do
What we do
We meet with our MPs and the council to discuss the climate and nature emergencies we face, hold stalls at public events, organize and collaborate on some annual events and hold in-person or zoom meetings on key issues - these are currently on the 3rd Wednesday evening of the month normally at 7:30pm, please contact us to confirm details if you wish to attend as they may sometimes vary.
We have recently been working with Wiltshire Climate Alliance and their projects on Green Open Homes / Retrofit and Climate Literacy. We would like to scale up our engagement in Swindon and would be pleased to hear from you if you would like to join in.
